The Committee Trophy is awarded annually having been donated in 2000 by Terry Newbound (The Sultan and former member of the League’s Committee) for services as a member of the Committee through a particular season.

The winner is determined each season by the Committee or by the Officers. With the move away from a formally elected Committee at the start of the 2016/17 season to running the League through Officers and Captains, Team Captains became eligible for the first time to win this trophy and the first time the trophy was awarded to a Captain was in 2018 when Patrick Hennessy, Marquis of Lorne, was chosen as the winner.
